Feeling sanity slip through my fingers

By awagner

No, this isn’t a post about Calvinism (though by the title you might think so).

It’s been 3 weeks since my last blog entry. Strangely, none of you have said anything to me about it…slackers! Just kidding. Anyway, life in the real world has been, in a word, insane. I have now moved into my new apartment (check out pictures on our wedding site), and Melissa and I are scheduled to pack all her things up this coming weekend to ship them back here, to re-unpack. It’s just one more exciting step toward our future life together, and I can’t wait!

In addition, today, most of the work I’ve been doing at my job has culminated in the release of a beta version of our website: check it out – http://beta.zadby.com . Suffice it to say, it was a long weekend, and there is still a lot of work yet to be done. But anyway, definitely check it out. Zadby is a service that connects users of sites like youtube with advertisers who are willing to pay them for their videos. I’m very excited to be a part of launching this patent-pending business model. Let me know what you think!

Well, I thought about buying you this and zapping you at the end of the week if you didn’t post, but thought that might be a little mean.

The site looks great, not a lot of content up there yet but that’ll come soon right?

Looks like Melissa was very excited about her Christmas gift, nice work!

I am testing out the comment feature of this blog. Andrew is my Fiance so I am hoping to figure this out so I can comment frequently.

So you’re using the excuse of getting married and being a newly wed for shirking off. Congrats on the wedding.

Having Brethren roots Andrew it may interest you to know that J N Darby was a Calvinist a position unpopular within most Brethren circles today.

Often the accusation is made that Calvinism hinders the zeal to spread the Gospel which is strange when you consider the imact of people like George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards and note that the 1859 Irish revival was largely through God working through the preaching of Calvinist preachers. Even the father of modern missions William Carey was a Calvinist too.

Charles Spurgeon said “We believe in the five great points commonly known as Calvinistic; but we do not regard these five points as being barbed shafts which we are to thrust between the ribs of our fellow-Christians. We look upon them as being five great lamps which help to irradiate the cross; or, rather, five bright emanations springing from the glorious covenant of our Triune God, and illustrating the great doctrine of Jesus crucified.”

I look forward to normal service resuming as about 5 weeks have come and gone. :-)
