Last week I promised a diagram on Ephesians 1 and 2. I finally tackled it again tonight. After much pain and grunting, trying to figure out a good way to get my notes from my own (silly) format to something WordPress would treat sanely, Emacs came to my rescue again. It’ll be quite anti-climactic, and it definitely needs a lot of work, but here it is. Let me know what you think!

Hey man, this looks great, it rendered differently in my feed reader but this looks good on your site.
I’m curious, did you have any rules you followed when you did this?

When I was originally doing this, I really wasn’t following any rules, just kind of going with whatever made sense in my head. Looking back, when I edit this, there will be a couple rules I want to try to enforce, which may or may not be followed as it is now. Where it gets sticky is when these rules conflict. But we’ll see what happens. Here are the rules I’m thinking of:
– If one phrase modifies another (in the english grammar sense), the modifying phrase should be indented under the other.
– You should be able to read consecutive phrases at the same level consecutively and have it sort of make sense.
